A Korean delegation of 13 companies led by Mr. Hacheong Yun, Director General of Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency in Cambodia (KOTRA Phnom Penh), has sought for investment opportunities in potential sectors in Cambodia, according to the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), on Tuesday morning, March 26, 2024. The 13 Korean companies include:
1. Samsung Electronics is a major appliance and consumer electronics corporation.
2. Hyundai Motor is cars and auto parts manufacturing company.
3. LG Electronics is a is a major appliance and consumer electronics corporation.
4. CJ Group is a food & food services, entertainment & media, logistics & retail, and biotechnology company.
5. LX International is a business development company
6. DAEJOO KC Group is a company specializing in the steel, logistics, chemical industry, automotive and aerospace industries, construction and energy industries.
7. Booyoung Group is a company specializing in real estate, education, telecommunications, banking and infrastructure.
8. Hanshin Engineering & Construction is a construction company.
9. KORINDO Group is a company specializing in palm oil plantation, rubber and planting the trees for manufacturing wood panel and processing plants.
10. Kolao Group is a company specilizing in the distribution, production and assembly of automobile brands.
11. Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (KBIZ) is a non-profit organization having main purpose is to support and advocate for improving the economic situation, promoting equal opportunities, and promoting benefits for small and medium enterprises in Korea.
12. The World Federation of Korean Overseas Business Associations (World OKTA) is a major organization for Korean overseas business.
13. Maekyung Media Group is a large media company of the Republic of Korea that operates on all forms of advertising.
On the other hand, on Wednesday morning, March 27, 2024, Mr. Shen Mingrong, Chairman of Zhenjiang Zhoungchao New Material Co., Ltd. and a Chinese delegation of 17 major industrial enterprises of the People’s Republic of China pay a courtesy call on Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Dr. Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia at the Peace Palace. On the occasion of the meeting, the industrial enterprises also expressed their interest and intention to expand investment in Cambodia.
