On the morning of Monday, December 11, 2023, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Mohabovor Thipdei Hun Manet, paid a two-day official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. December 11 and 12, 2023.
According to the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit was made at the invitation of His Excellency PHAM Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of Vietnam. Accompanying the President to Vietnam include His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Sok Chenda Sophea, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Lead the private sector of the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce.
During the two-day visit, Prime Minister Hun Manet and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will hold bilateral meetings with the aim of further strengthening and expanding cooperation in various fields, including education, trade and investment. Connect tourism, culture, security, national defense and border affairs.
Sub-regional, regional and international issues of common interest and concern will also be discussed. The two Prime Ministers will witness the signing ceremony of a number of agreements and co-chair the Cambodia-Vietnam Forum on Trade and Investment Promotion.
Samdech Prime Minister will pay a courtesy call on HE NGUYEN Phu Trong, Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, HE VO Van Thuong, President of the State of Vietnam and HE Roeung Dinh Hue, President The National Assembly will also pay a courtesy call on NGUYEN Thi Thanh, President of the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Association and leaders of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth League.
The Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted that the current official visit of the Samdech Prime Minister to Vietnam will signify the deepening of long-term relations based on the spirit of “good neighborliness, traditional friendship”.
