Nguyen Thanh Hung, founder of Sovico Group, which has a number of business activities and subsidiaries, a prominent business, reported to PM Hun Manet at a meeting on the morning of December 12, 2023. Vietjet Airlines, a subsidiary of Sovico Group, will launch direct flights from Hanoi to Siem Reap from December 15, 2023.
During the meeting, the PM also stated that the Royal Government of Cambodia will continue to support and coordinate Vietjet’s business operations in Cambodia and encourage the company to consider the possibility of expanding direct flights from Da Nang to Phnom Penh, as well as discussing the possibility of cooperation with relevant ministries and institutions of Cambodia in the preparation of tourism packages to promote the travel of Vietnamese tourists via Vietjet Air to Cambodia more.
