
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Wednesday rejected Hamas’s latest offer for a ceasefire and return of hostages held in the Gaza Strip. But US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said there was still room for negotiation toward an agreement.
Netanyahu’s rejection is a “setback for Blinken and the White House, who have been working for weeks on trying to get Hamas and Israel to agree, even on the initial phases of a longer deal,” says ABC correspondent Jordana Miller.
