According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on December 14, 2023, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Hun Manet, will lead a high-level delegation to attend the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation, which will be held in Tokyo on December 16-18, 2023 at the invitation of His Excellency Kishida Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan.
The summit focused on the issuance of the Joint Vision Statement on ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation and the implementation plan of the Vision Statement established under three main themes, including (1) Compassionate Partnerships Every generation (2) Partners for the economic and social formation of the future and (3) Partners for peace and stability.
During his stay in Tokyo, Samdech Hun Manet will have a working breakfast with HE Sorn Sai Siphandon, Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and HE Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, as well as a bilateral meeting with HE Setha Thavisin.
