Lebanon’s Hezbollah has fired two antitank missiles towards Israeli military bases in northern Israel, prompting Israeli forces to respond with artillery shelling, the Times of Israel has reported.
No damage or casualties were reported in the attack on the area of Shomera in the Western Galilee region, the Times reported, citing Israeli military officials who spoke with Hebrew-language media.
Earlier on Sunday, Hezbollah said it had fired rockets at an Israeli site near Shtula in the central sector of the border.
Israel and Hezbollah have been exchanging fire across their border since the start of the war in Gaza, raising concerns the fighting could spill over into a regional conflict.
